My Idea of a University Arts Festival
There is no doubt that the arts festival enriches our college life an extracurricular activity. However when it comes to what should be included in the arts festival different people have different views. Some insists on performing arts such as dances and dramas. Still others argue for the work of art like paintings and calligraphy. Personally I agree with the latter and I strongly recommend that photographic works should be counted as an important aspect of the arts festival.
My suggestion lies in the following two reasons. On the one hand for he students who take photos the photographic exhibition can stimulate them to discover the beauty that permeates our surroundings. As the saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder; such an activity will definitely foster sharp eyes of photographers to-be. On the other hand for the students who appreciate the photos they are given a shortcut to the beauty of the nature and the society. Maybe by this way they find the sense of the life and enjoy the life more in the future.
In short the photographic exhibition can get the students to discover and appreciate beauty. I believe that it is wise to involve the photographic works into the university arts festival.

My Oscar Dream
On the night of March 1, the 76th Annual Academy Awards was shown on television. After watching it, I had a dream, a sudden wish, that some day, I could receive an Oscar award, or a nomination, for a movie Ive made.
While I was schooling in Australia, my friends from school and I received a n assignment one day, "To make a ten to twenty minute movie on the topic of your choice." At the time, the trend was based around the popular Matrix movie trilogy, so that became our obvious choice.
Because our schedule was very tight, and it was a first time experience, we found it all very hard work, but when we released our production at school, it was worth it. After my friends and I showed the movie, we could not get from one end of the school to the other without getting congratulated about five or six times. We, especially I, were proud. We made a school-wide sensation.
From then on, I became obsessed with how to make movies and how filming is done. I just wanted to know about everyone and everything that has something to do with movies.
I would watch a movie four to five times, just to find out how one camera angle, or special effect was produced. I found everything I watched quite amazing. I sometimes admired directors and producers of these films because the techniques they use are so smart. Their cleverness inspired me to make and act in movies.
When I become little bit older, I would like to attend a movie academy in Beijing or Shanghai, then America, or England, after some training and experience, I would like to make a movie, which will most likely be an action movie, which is my favorite kind of movie to watch..
If I am lucky, I hope I would get an Oscar Award for this movie. I think that would be quite a challenge, but it’s not impossible. For now, it’s back to watching movies over and over again for me!

He placed the half-full basket on top of the churning washer. He shut the laundry room door and walked back upstairs. He set his electronic timer to 35 minutes. When the washer was done, he’d reload it and put the first load into the dryer. He sat down and opened the newspaper to the California section: "Truck Runs Over Crossing Guard," said the headline.

Whats the most important event in your life?different people may have different i have gotten my answer these days----that is coming to wuyi university where my life has great changes,in other words,the university life has brought many "first times" to me----the new experience.
When i was at high school,i was told that the university life was wonderful,full of freedom and chanllenges,so i was really looking forward to my own life in university,dreaming of the beautiful campus,interesting courses and all kinds of activities.
However, when it really came to me,its a different story at the beginning.i took my first step into the campus with disappointment,beacause the buildings look too old and drad.i still remember the day when daddy drove me here and i was unwiling to get out of the car and say goodbye to the way to jiangmen,i hope if only the car slowed down or the road was longer.
Theres no doubt that as a freshman i couldnt adapt myself to the new life here due to the differences between university life and high school life,in particular the one dependent like i was at a boarding school,however,living in the university is not the same as before,you know,its the first time for me to be so far away from home.i felt homesick and even a little afraid,and i phoned mummy and daddy almost every s more,at home mummy and daddy do everything for me,because i am a child forever in their eyes,so they always protect me from being now i have to learn to be independent and do everything by myself.
As time goes by,i have met new friends who make me feel at ease on ually,i have managed to adjust myself to the life here,furthermore,ive learnt a lot from university g far away from home,i get to realize how deeply i love my family and how deeply they love though theyre not around me here in jiangmen,i was able to take good care of myself;i can wash my clothes by my own hands;i can put away my things by myself;i can go shopping with my roommates.
Now i am a member of the environmental protection association of wuyi university,where ive gotten a lot of opportunities to train myself and broaden my mind,such as working out the function plan and giving others a lesson on environnmental protection,and all of these are i make every effort to work on one thing,finally i make it,and the feeling is really good.i got my first part-time job last can imagine how exciting i was when i got my paid after hours i understand the old sayingno pain,no you think you can,you can!"

parents always expect their children to show their filial obedience, or at least pay them frequent visits after they have got married. if the children fail to do this, they feel hurt and upset, and theyll even complain about their children, because they just cant understand why their children dont care about them after what they have done for the children for so many years to bring them up. nevertheless, ones experience determines his ideology. young children are naturally attached to their parents, but when they grow up, specially when they have made their own friends, and got married, what they need most is independence and freedom, and parents sometimes might become their burden. once there is generation gap, it becomes more difficult to communicate and this keeps them away from their parents. objectively speaking, they need more independence in order to achieve success. in the present society, what the children want to have most is the economic support from their parents, not their moral support or guidance.
