　　名著英文读书笔记150字篇一：老人与海

　　The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingway's most enduring works.Told in language of great simplicity and power,it is the story of an old Cuban fisherman,down on his luck,and his supreme ordeal——a relentless,agonizing battle with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf Stream.

　　Here Hemingway recasts,in strikingly contemporary style,the classic thene of courage in the face of defeat,of personal triumph won from los.Written in 1952,this hugely successfully novella confirmed his power and presence in the literary world and played a huge part in his winning the 1954 Nobel Prize for Literature.

　　This is a novel by the English author Daniel Defoe,published in 1719.It is one of the most popular adventure novels in all literature.It is the story of Bobinson Crusoe,an Englishman who is shipwrecked in a lonely tropical island.

　　He builds himself a hut,grows his own food,and becomes self-sufficient.After 23 years he meets with a group of cannibals and rescues one of their prisoners,a young native whome he calls Friday.

　　Crusoe and his“man”Friday become close friends,and when they are finally rescued four years later,both return to England.This novel is famous for its lovely details and its expression of belief in man's ability when left alone in nature.
