Nowadays, environmental pollution and wasting has become quite a serious problem, which has aroused widespread concern from the public. It is not rare to see the lights or fans left on in the dorm areas when nobody is in the room. What’s worse, some students even dump the package of food and drinks in such a casual way.
All this wasting and pollution may result in a number of unfavorable consequences, with the following two the most serious. Above all, it will exert a negative influence on both school and the students’ health. What’s worse, the wasting of electricity and water may pose a huge economic burden to our school, which can’t be ignored. And consequently, it may lead to student’s failure to enjoy all these resources for free. Furthermore, the rubbish on campus may turn out to be dangerous to students’ health.
Considering the seriousness of the problem, it is quite urgent for us to take effective measures to solve this problemand create a green campus. Green campus not only means a green environment on campus, but also refers to an environmental sense in students’ mind. Therefore, in the first place, universities should pay more attention to establishment of effective green regulation on campus. In the second place, students should enhance their awareness of the importance of this issue so that they will instinctively remember to turn off the tap when they finish washing. Only with these measures taken can we believe that the situation will be improved in the near future.
