　　By the time John pulled into the little town, every hotel room was taken. "You've got to have a room somewhere." he pleaded. "Or just a bed--I don't care where."

　　"Well, I do have a double room with one occupant," admitted the manager," and he might be glad to split the cost. But to tell you the truth, he snores so loudly that people in adjoining rooms have complained in the past. I'm not sure it'd be worth it to you."

　　"No problem," the tired traveler assured him. "I'll take it."

　　The next morning, John came down to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. When asked about how he slept, he replied, "Never better."

　　The manager was impressed. "No problem with the other guy snoring, then?"

　　"Nope. I shut him up in no time."

　　"How'd you manage that?"

　　"He was already in bed, snoring away, when I came in the room," John said. "I went over, gave him a kiss on the cheek, said, 'Goodnight, beautiful.' With that he sat up all night watching me."

　　I am Chinese. I am proud of being a Chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. I've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. 　　I know that my ancestors have made miracles on this fertile land and we're still making miracles. We have experienced the plunders by other nations, and we have experienced the war. Yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----China, unyielding and unconquerable!

　　I once came across an American tourist. She said, "China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading."My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have reasons to say proudly：we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition is even bigger, our challenges are great, but our will is evengreater.

　　I am Chinese. I have inherited black hair and blackeyes. I have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go, whatever I do, I shall never forget that I am Chinese!

　　I am so glad to give my speech to you here.Now I will start my topic about The Dream English,as you know ,The Dream English plans to put our dream come true。When I was a little boy ,I was so curious about english as long as I heard someone speak english around me,so I am very interested in english.Thank for The Dream English,I have a chance to learn more about english which is about life and study. In my opinion,english is not only a language but also a study.It contains much useful knowledge and life experience,if we all try our best to learn about it,such as its background and its history,we can regard it as a tool to make contribution to ourselves and our country.

　　What is threatening the nature? Air and water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so on. Overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution. Let's take overpopulation as an example.

　　What does overpopulation feel like? When we move slowly through the city in a tazi. When we enter a crowded slum district. When the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke. The streets are crowded with people. The streets seem alive with people. People eating. People washing. People talking. People sleeping. People visiting each other, arguing and screaming. People relieving themselves. People pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging. People leading animals. People, people, people, people. As we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell! I admit, frightening.

　　an apple tree

　　A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and lay around it every day. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow… He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.

　　Time went by… the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day. One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. "Come and play with me," the tree asked the boy. "I am no longer a kid, I don't play around trees anymore." The boy replied, "I want toys. I need money to buy them." "Sorry, but I don't have money…but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money." The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

　　One day, the boy returned and the tree was so excited. "Come and play with me," the tree said. "I don't have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?" "Sorry, but I don't have a house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house." So the boy cut all the branches off the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

Sometimes I often ask myself what is my dream? My dream is what? Dream, dream is just one word difference understanding is not a kind of consciousness! . the helplessness of life, sometimes does not originate from the self, others unintentional build, it is a kind of a strange combination of circumstances. The life is contradictory, day and night distance, between seasons reincarnation, then a particular favorite, so helpless and the joy of the waiting. I have a dream! I was only dreaming! The reality does not let me have dreams, ignorant to dream of unreal and waiting, the exchange is not required, but the years in the face of the prints left, without a single success of life is wasted. In the life, and to spend time to await, as to speed up the pace to the searching for the ideal, try to race against time, maybe the body, psychological will feel tired, but such a life is full of. Sigh of life, because once had no with vigour and vitality feat, feel small, seem to feel mediocre, life is too simple, easy to let a person feel irritable. No boast without shame about the future, but more realistic hold now.

　　Back in the years when I was only six years old or so, I had my first taste of English. It seemed very strange to me. At the very beginning, I was not so interested in this strange language. Moreover, the English TV program always took time away from my cartoon shows. As a result, I started to hate English.

　　Time flies. Things completely changed at the end of my primary school life. In the last exam of the whole primary school period, I did so well in English that I got a full mark. I found that I could do a perfect job in English if I put my heart on it. This exam seems to be a turning point on my road of studying English and has really inspired me. Although there are still many challenges waiting for me, these setbacks won’t hurt my confidence and will push me to study harder.
