I would start my overseas study from Aug 2008, so my boss asked me to find a strong candidate who could handle my current work as a Finance Manager in Shanghai. The candidate is supposed to work with Canadian General Manager, Singaporean investor and some UK clients.
Below is my current position and description:
Company overview:
-Established in 1994 in Shanghai as first bar and restaurant business
-Expanded in franchise model in China’s major cities from 2007 with investment from a UK listed entertainment business
-Listed indirectly in an overseas stock market via equity transfer to an overseas listed food and beverage company
-Incorporated with strong management of Canadian native of bar operation and Singaporeans of investment banking background
-Dedicated by a team of 14 years growing experience from establishment
-Filled with freedom and creativity in corporate culture
Job description:
1) Finance and Accounting
- Provide monthly financial review of business performance of 3 stores currently
- Report performance to overseas listed investor (Singapore/UK) timely every month
-Oversee franchisee shop’s compliance with all regulati and calculate monthly management fee collectable from franchisee shops
-Perform internal audit procedures, identify control weakness and propose improvement soluti
- Control by preparing budgets, comparing actual results, and proposing possible acti
- Arrange cash flow optimization if possible
2) Business Development
- Participate in business decision on site selection and feasibility on new stores
- Liaise with franchise-orientated investors and coordinate all parties (e.g. designer, contractor, landlord, local authority) to assist opening of new shops
Requirement on Candidates:
-3 to 4 years audit experience in Big 4
-Literal in Office and other major software
-Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, written and verbal
-Upright with integrity to handle ethical dilemma as well as with strong respibility
-Flexible to complete detailed tasks or leadership overview
-Interested in luxury entertainment as well as food and beverage business
-Down-to-earth with long term commitment to grow and excel with the company
