Running for the chairman of the students’ union

Leaders, teachers and my dear schoolmates:

Today I am very glad and honored to have the chance to run for the position of president of the. I am a student from class of English 092; my name is Cristina, thank you for giving me this opportunity to stand on the podium.

Under the leadership of the last session, our work is very effective during the last school year. Of course we know that Performance only belongs to yesterday and the last session team，and the new semester has brought us new challenges and opportunities。After this general election, we will leave the guidance of the previous student leadership team and chaired Students work independently, which also gives us new requirements.

Today I will run for the position of president of student union. Since I came to this school， I have been class monitor and the minister of the Life Department. I have done a very good job for my classmates，and in turn both students and teachers give me high praise. I am good at communicating and organizing，I have the ability to mediate the relationship between teachers and students, organize various activities and enrich the lives of our students. Years of student work experience make me know the structure and operation of the students’ union well and what’s more, I’m full of enthusiasm. As

the minister of the Life Department of our academy, I am sure that I am qualified for the position.

I have the enthusiasm to work, sense of responsibility, constantly up of spirit of enterprise, practical spirits and realistic attitude, I need a wider platform to demonstrate my abilities.

It is not only an honor but also a responsibility to join the students’ union. I know that there are many challenges waiting for me, but I am confident that I have the ability to take on the burden.

If I become the president， I will try my best to make the students’ union attractive by organizing different activities. I will do what I can to meet your needs. I sincerely hope you can give me a chance and I’m sure I will be a good president.

since i came to the college, i have been holding positions of class and youth league union. i also have done some pragmatic work for the university and our schoolmates. during the communication with our schoolmates, i feel it deep that the cohesion of a unit lies in a developing and advancing collective, while the strength for it comes from sincerity, understanding and contributions. as a leader of student, one should have a firm belief with sacrifice. as a leader of student, one should be willing to make up the gap between man and man, idea and reality with his fierce feelings. as a leader of student, one should not be selfish. what he seeks for is to work hard and give himself up to the service.

i, as one of the thousands of students of economy college, am proud of it. i would be more willing to take up the duty belonging to me. this is my initial hope. this is why i am standing here today.

i remember one candidate himself said loudly, "should i leave the position quietly or be bold to stay?" during the last competition for student union. as a result, he was bold to stay for the position. to day, i would like to let everyone know that i hope that i will be kept for the position. even though i fail, i won't leave quietly and angrily out of spite because i am a member of economy college, and because my roots are in the mei campus.

no mater where i go, mei campus always stays with me and my deep feelings to it always keeps in me. i would like to work heart and soul, for my love of mei campus. i earnestly hope to contribute my feelings and fervently hope to share the happiness and be concerned about the worries with every one of mei campus.
